Mount Baldo is certainly one of the favorite Veronese destinations for people who love the mountains both summer and winter. Unfamiliar trails or routes area always an attraction in any season. The awesome natural scenery and the silence and calm of the mountains make this place even more amazing. The snow in winter is an extra reason to go to Mount Baldo for an organized snowshoe race.

On February 20, 2011, the XVII Scarpinada snowshoe race will be held in Tratto Spino on Mount Baldo. You can register for the event at 8:00 a.m. at the lower station of the Malcesine - Monte Baldo cableway. The event will start at 11:30 a.m. from the old local police barracks.
The hour-long 4 km race through the snow will turn a winter day into a healthy recreational pastime. There will be no lack of athletic competition and a desire for victory, but at the end of the race, warm refreshments will be offered to everyone!
