Medieval dances and folklore. "Rustico Medioevo" was the first real medieval event of the Trentino region that paved the way, especially in the nineties, for many other festivals, exhibitions, and performances held in medieval villages and castles. It was also one of the first to recognize and celebrate culture and cuisine, combining art, poetry, street performances, recitals, concerts, choral music, and folk dances with local traditional recipes, rediscovering the dish that is one of the symbols of the event: the peveraa.
"Rustico Medioevo in Canale di Tenno" returns this year from August 6th to 14th, with its medieval performances and choreography, banners and torches embellishing the village, with troubadours announcing performances, and costumed extras recreating the magic of centuries ago. New things are in store in the kitchen, too: the fixed menu featuring polenta and peveraa will add new recipes, all based on Trentino's traditional cuisine.
