A great exhibition dedicated to Gino Severini has been produced by Mart, Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie. This grand international event showcases a great 20th century Italian artist. Mart, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, and Musée d-Orsay of Paris present this great exhibit dedicated to the figure and works of artist Gino Severini (Cortona 1883 - Paris, 1966).
The exhibition project, curated by Gabriella Belli and Daniela Fonti, had a special preview between April and July 2011 at Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris. The exhibit "Gino Severini (1883 - 1966), futuriste et néoclassique" will be on display at Mart in Rovereto from September 17, 2011 to January 8, 2012. The exhibit covers the artistic career of Severini through nearly eighty works from important public and private collections in Italy and abroad. A protagonist of the Futurist movement, Gino Severini played a fundamental role as a liaison between Italian and French art in the Avant-garde period and, afterwards, when the Neo-Classical movement emerged.
