Malcesine on lake Garda: the food and wine event Fish & Chef

Three Sundays for a tour, lake to mountain, to discover the flavors of Malcesine
Sunday, May 2 - 9 - 23

The splendid town of Malcesine, on the eastern bank of Lake Garda, will take you from the lake to the slopes of Mount Baldo for a delicious food experience. Thanks to Fish & Chef, the new food and wine event, three Sundays in May (2, 9, and 23) will be devoted to discovering three symbolic products of the area: Lake Garda fish, Malcesine's DOP extra-virgin olive oil, and the herbs of Mount Baldo, to which Malcesine is linked by way of a new panoramic cableway that reaches an altitude of 2,000 meters in just a few minutes.

Local wine will also be on the menu, thanks to the participation of the Bardolino Consortium, which will present the Bardolino Chiaretto, a true "anti-crisis" wine that is becoming more popular every day.

With Fish & Chef, Malcesine will introduce visitors to its local products. For the first time, famous Michelin-star chefs such as Emanuele Scarello, Giancarlo Perbellini, and Claudio Melis will participate, along with local restaurants and the producers of these fine products. Malcesine's DOP olive oil will be presented through a tour of the olive groves and olive mill, where the process for obtaining a delicate, fruity product will be explained.
The tours will end on Mount Baldo, where an expert botanist will teach visitors how to recognize and pick characteristic herbs such as wild garlic, wild thyme, crocuses, and mountain saffron.

Serving as a link between the three products and the different moments will be Bardolino Chiaretto, the symbol of the Lake Garda, a wine that is enjoying a boom in sales because it is modern and the perfect accompaniment for any food.
