On October 2 and 3, the search for the tastiest spot along the enchanting streets of Malcesine returns. If you love to travel and admire beautiful architecture and breathtaking views, Malcesine, a splendid town on the Veronese banks of Lake Garda, returns with excursions, art, and music to reveal the gourmet side of Mount Baldo and the lake. On October 2 and 3, the town will once again host Ciottolando con Gusto. After "Salato, Piccante e Dolce" [Salty, Spicy, and Sweet], in 2010 Ciottolando con Gusto will highlight the natural environment of this lovely town that is famous for tasty specialties that will accompany pasta in celebration of Mediterranean tradition.
The food and wine event, organized by Associazione Sensora and by Malcesine Più with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Malcesine and the support of the "Lago di Garda è" Consortium, presents a gastronomic tour that takes you on a journey to discover traditional local foods and wines. On October 2 and 3 from noon to 10:00 p.m., foodies and tourists can set out in search of flavor by following a personalized sampling route featuring a selection of dishes that participating restaurants, pizzerias, and wine cellars have studied especially for the event.
You can start out from an aperitif or dessert and follow any order of the menu. The many stages of this flavorful itinerary will turn Malcesine into a "restaurant on the road". Visitors can pick up their badge and map that indicates all participating establishments at the store Olivia at Via Navere 19/A all day Saturday and until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
