The town of Bardolino hosts the "Cura dell'Uva" (Grape Therapy) during the best period of the harvest (lasting more than a month). Fresh grape juice from on-site grape pressing can be sampled and bought during grape-picking season. To follow the therapy correctly, the juice (which is dietetic, therapeutic, vitaminic, mineral-rich and detoxifying) should be drunk fresh once in the morning and once in the afternoon. However, even if it is drunk occasionally, it is beneficial and can even replace a meal.

If you're interested in the therapy, you'll find fresh grape juice at a special booth set up by the Strada del Vino a Bardolino association on Piazza Catullo that will let you experience a healthy therapy and beauty treatment that is sure to be a success. Originating in the twenties to celebrate the grape harvest - an almost sacred event for the rural communities of the Garda area - this festival has recently expanded to encompass Bardolino and Bardolino Chiaretto as well, both of noble origin and are therefore DOCG (denominazione di origine controllata e garantita) wines.
The festival is not just about these two wines, but also focuses on sport, culture and the lakes folklore. The festival is held just before the first Sunday of October and bas become a wellknown event. in fact there are many foreign tourists who continue to book their holidays in this period so they can enjoy this simple and genuine autumn festival.

A mix of shows, to entertainment and games accompanied by two classic wines served at tasting stands set up along lake front and in trattorias, restaurants and wine bars. During the three day festival, awards are presented to the best grape growers and the producers of best wines of the year.
