Fish & Chef is fast approaching! The event featuring local products from Lake Garda will be held on the first four Sundays of May (May 1, 8, 15, 22). The event will take place in Malcesine (VR), where dinners prepared by famous Italian chefs will be served, and in the nearby village of Cassone, which will present the great food and wine from the area. The two towns will be easily reached by way of the Tourist shuttle bus, for a tasty itinerary with breathtaking scenery.
Sampling sessions of local foods in Cassone
Cassone, with its 16th century town center, is one of the most romantic ports of the lake. It will be the daytime destination of Fish & Chef, where the visitor can sample not just fish, but also delicious Garronese beef served with other wonderful local products such as Garda DOP Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and Monte Veronese DOP cheese. From the alpine farms of Mount Baldo and Lessinia, the Monte Veronese DOP Consortium will bring to Fish & Chef fresh and aged cheese from its summer pastures. Everything will be accompanied by the best Bardolino, thanks to the participation of the local Bardolino Consortium.
Dinner in Malcesine
After watching the sun set over splendid Lake Garda, gourmets can indulge in special dinners planned in Malcesine for each of the four Sundays. On Sunday, May 1, Alessandro Breda, chef of the Il Gellius restaurant of Oderzo (TV), will inaugurate the event at Hotel Capri in Malcesine. On Sunday, May 8, Manuel and Christian Costardi (Ristorante Da Cinzia in Vercelli) will present their dinner at Ambienthotel Primaluna. On May 15, Alfio Ghezzi (Locanda Margon - TN) will present his interpretation of local fresh-water fish at Hotel Baia Verde. All dinners will be accompanied by Bardolino wine and Chiaré, the new sparkling aperitif created by the Bardolino consortium.
