Giro d'Italia 2010: 18 stage Thursday May 27th 2010

Italy's most exciting road bicycle race will arrive in Lake Garda to thrill biking enthusiasts and athletes. This year, the "Giro d'Italia", which will start on May 8 in Amsterdam, will arrive in Verona on May 30, 2010. On May 27, 2010, the 18th stage of the race will travel from Garda along most of the western coast of Lake Garda, which is an extraordinary natural amphitheater for major sports events.
The general calendar includes five mountain top finishes, seven sprinter stages, three individual timed trials (including one mountain time trial) and a team time trial.

Stage five celebrates Fausto Coppi, stage eleven commemorates the Abruzzo region, and stage thirteen pays homage to Pantani. The tour finishes in Verona as it did when Francesco Moser won in 1984. Stage 18 travels from Levico Terme to Brescia for 151 total kilometers. The stage will travel around the western part of Lake Garda, passing through Torbole, Riva del Garda, Limone sul Garda, Gargnano, Toscolano Maderno, and Salò, and then head to Brescia.
