Castelvuovo del Garda, which is located on the southeastern morainic hills of Lake Garda, is full of many historical monuments, including a crenellated tower that was once a part of an ancient castle, the 15th century Villa Sella, and the Parish Church (1793-1830) which contains an altar-piece by F. Brusasorci.

Its hamlets also offer glimpses of history. Cavalcaselle is the site of the old aristocratic Villa Arvedi D'Emilei (17th ? 18th centuries) and a Parish Church with frescoes dating back to the 18th century. Sandrà is home to the neoclassical Villa Il Soletto and the Sant'Andrea Church.

The town, which is at the heart of famous wine country, is also close to amusement parks, including Gardaland, Italy?s most famous theme park.
